NEW YORK MEDICAL COLLEGE
Sound Shore Medical Center is the only private teaching hospital in Westchester County to be designated a major teaching affiliate of New York Medical College. This affiliation, a result of the Medical Center's commitment to the highest standards of medical education, has resulted in the development of a new residency program in pediatrics, the expansion of medical education programs in primary care, the development of subspecialty services in pediatrics and the advancement of the laparoscopic programs in surgery. The advantage of this affiliation for patients is the assurance that physicians are always present in the Medical Center 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide emergency and often life-saving care.

WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER
The affiliation of Westchester Medical Center and Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester represents a continuity of care that guarantees residents access to high quality, cost effective, comprehensive care. Westchester Medical Center serves as the primary referral facility for patients from SSMC who require highly complex medical or surgical services. In addition, SSMC and Westchester Medical Center have developed joint clinical programs in medicine, surgery and pediatrics that enhance and strengthen the services offered at both institutions. 

THE MOUNT VERNON HOSPITAL
SSMC and The Mount Vernon Hospital have developed an affiliation that consolidates and expands health care services offered to 250,000 people who live in southern Westchester. This affiliation reflects a regional approach to providing high quality health care through the integration of clinical services, the sharing of operational resources and the establishment of new programs.

The partnership of Sound Shore Medical Center and the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center expands the breadth of health care services available to the residents of Mount Vernon and the surrounding communities.
